The purpose of this series is to highlight the concept that our signs and Senses are closely tied to the body's ability to respond and regulate itself. They serve as important indicators of what is happening within the body and where attention needs to be focused for regulation. Vital signs are measurable bodily responses that provide insights into how the body is functioning. The four most commonly recognized vital signs are heart rate, body temperature, respiratory rate (the number of breaths taken per minute), and blood pressure. In addition to these, other unofficial vital signs such as hormones, fascia health, and blood fluidity can also provide valuable information about overall health, although they may be less commonly monitored. Monitoring vital signs can be especially useful to prevent and overcome physical challenges, as they can serve as markers of progress and improvement. By keeping track of changes in vital signs, one can gain valuable information about their overall health status. Similarly, our senses play a crucial role in informing us about our environment. Our senses of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch provide us with valuable information about the world around us, allowing us to perceive and understand our surroundings. In summary, vital signs and senses are important ways through which the body communicates and provides information about its functioning and environment. To understand them and use them as tools are a safe and fun way to stay healthy. We will take the 7 vital signs of the body, pair them up with the 7 senses of the body (Yes 7!) Series summary: 1.
